This Privacy Policy explains how tru-site.ai ("tru-site.ai," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website and AI website-building service (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Business content you provide. When you describe your business or ask us to build or edit a site, we collect the text you enter and any logos or photos you upload, so our AI can generate your website.
Account information. If you create an account to publish a site, we collect your email address and password. Passwords are stored and verified by our authentication provider and are never stored by us in plain text.
Published site data. If you publish a site, we store the generated website content, your business name, and the account it's linked to, so we can host and let you manage it.
Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is handled by our payment processor. We do not store your full card number.
Usage and device data. We use a small number of cookies — including a session cookie to keep you signed in and a visitor identifier — to operate the Service. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
2. How we use your information
- To generate, preview, and edit your website using AI
- To create and secure your account, and host your published site
- To process payments for paid plans
- To communicate with you about your site, your account, or support requests
- To improve the reliability, safety, and quality of the Service
3. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:
- AI generation. The business description and images you submit are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to generate your website content and design.
- Service providers. We use third-party providers for authentication, hosting, and payment processing, who process data on our behalf under their own security obligations.
- Affiliated business systems. If you publish a site, your contact and business information may be shared with our affiliated customer relationship systems so our team can follow up about your account, hosting, or additional services.
- Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of tru-site.ai, our users, or others.
4. Data retention
We retain your account and published site data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain it for legal, accounting, or security purposes.
5. Your choices and rights
You can review or update your account information at any time from your dashboard. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, contact us at hello@tru-site.ai. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy law, and we will respond to verified requests consistent with those rights.
6. Children's privacy
The Service is intended for business owners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including encrypted connections and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
